Sometimes we may need to search objects in SQL Server. TO do that we could we could write a tsql script or SSMS graphical tools to do that.
Let us see we could do that in action:
We would like to find any object (Table, View, Stord Proc…) in AdventureWorks that is related to products. Using t-sql we could use
SELECT Name AS [Object], Type_Desc AS ObjectType FROM Sys.Objects WHERE Name like '%Product%' ORDER BY ObjectType,[Object];
The other way click on View Menu and select Object Explorer Details or simply press F7
Then in the Search text box you could simply start typing what you need in our case “Product” it is also possible to use wildcards like % and _.
